Most companies know they’d benefit from strategic planning… however this isn’t just a one off piece of work to be referred to. It should be part of a process.
Often companies who need this are companies who are already doing well and experiencing growth, but they need to take into account some longer term thinking… otherwise known as strategic planning.
They are likely to have a leadership team or will be putting one in place. A team is something that needs to be built and trained, as they are leading the company. All too often the bonding and direction of a team is left to chance.
They will need to have a plan for the vision, mission and purpose of the business. As well as clarity around goals, KPIS, structure, meeting rhythm, financial tracking and lots more.
It’s often really helpful that this strategy session takes place off site as it gives a different, and in my view, better level of thinking.
When was the last time you took your senior team offsite to do some collective thinking about your future direction?
